It is fit to make the mention of a visionary and dreamy-eyed Jesuit Rev. Fr. Mac Donald, who pioneered Trekking as an organized Holiday and Sport in the Sikkim-Darjeeling area where hundreds of Trekkers now cluster for its joys. The Eastern Himalayas, including Sikkim-Darjeeling, the area where the trekking is well regulated are extremely beautiful and possesses the varied forms of rich flora and fauna. Trekking-Trails varies from soft and moderate to extreme. The more rewarding treks are in altitudes from 6,000 ft. to 14,000 ft. The foods and vegetables provided during the treks are all fresh and local-organic produce.
