  • Day1 (Bagdogra (IXB)/ New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Darjeeling)

    Leave for Darjeeling via Kurseong and break journey for refreshments at Kurseong.The journey will take 4 hrs following along side world famous small gauge rail track of Darjeeling Toy Train. This train made its first maiden trip in September 1881. Puffing along the two foot gauge track, the gradient of which stays at a maximum of 1 to 20, the train passes through a region, the sheer beauty of which it starts to manifest itself as soon as one begins the journey. UNESCO has declared this train as World Heritage

  • Day2 Darjeeling Sight Seeing

    After breakfast visit the Japanese Temple Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Zoo, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre and Happy Valley Tea Estate. After Lunch visit the Ghoom Monastery. Evening free to explore the market.Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Museums :The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute is on the West Jawahar road. The institute runs courses for training mountaineers as well as has the very good collection of mountaineering equipments which have been used in various mountaineering expeditions and other wise. Specimens of Himalayan flora and fauna are also kept here. The record of attempts made to conquer Mt. Everest has been kept in the Mt.Everest Museum. The institute also screens short films on mountaineering. You can also view the Himalayan peaks through the Zeiss Telescope given to the Nepalese Maharaja by Hitler. Sherpa Tenzing Norgay was the Director of this institute for many years and he was cremated near the institute after his death in 1986. Near the institute is Srabri which gives a very good view of the Single valley and the Khangchedzonga range. One can sit at Srabri and feel the cool breeze from the valley. More correctly known as Yogachoeling Gompa, this is probably the most famous monastery in Darjeeling and is about 8 kms south of town, just below Hill Cart road and the train station near Ghoom. It enshrines an image of the Maitreya Buddha. Foreigners are allowed to enter the shrine and take photographs. As Ghoom is frequently swathed in mists, and the monastery is old and dark, it is often affectionately called Gloom monastery.

  • Day3 Darjeeling- Maneybhanjyang- Tonglu

    Drive to Maneybhanjyang (2134m), ( 1 1/2 hrs), the starting point of the trek. The days walk , about 06 hrs , is uphill and the trail passes through small village of Chitre and forests of Rhododendrons and Magnolias. The camping area at Tonglu ( 3020m) is located on a hill top over looking the Sikkim Himalayas. Overnight at Tonglu.

  • Day4 Tonglu - Kalpokhri

    This is also a pleasant walk through the forest which is home to the rare Red Panda and the Tragopan. After about 05 hrs the camping area of Kalapokhri (3100 m) is reached, where we spend the night.

  • Day5 Kalpokhri - Sandakphu

    After breakfast , start the trek to Sandakphu (3636m) which takes about 06 hrs. Sandakphu is the place to view the mountains.On a clear day one can see the peaks of Lhotse( 8501m), Everest( 8848m) and Makalu(8475m) of the Nepal Himalayas and the huge Kanchenjunga massif (8586m) along with other peaks of the Sikkim himalayas.Overnight at Sandakphu.

  • Day6 Sandakphu - Phalut

    The trail is along a ridge and can be considered as one of the most enjoyable and scenic walks in the Himalayas. The whole range of snowy peaks is always in view and the trail passes through high altitude vegetation and areas of dwarf rhododendrons and firs. The walk to Phalut(3600m) is about 07 hours. Overnight at Phalut.

  • Day7 Phalut - Rammam

    Early morning walk up to Phalut Top to view the sunrise over the himalayas. After breakfast start trek to Rammam (2560m) which takes about 05 hrs. The trail passes through the villages of Gorkhey and Samanden and the forest provides ample oppurtunities for bird sightsighting. Overnight at Rammam.

  • Day8 Rammam - Rimbik

    From Rammam the trail descends (6 hours) to the bridge at Sirikhola and passes through a number of small villages to reach Rimbik (2280m), the road head. Overnight at Rimbick.

  • Day9 Rimbik -NJP/IXB

    After Breafast, drive from Rimbik to NJP/IXB for futhuer destination.
